Heels & Handshakes recently made a vibrant stop in Charlotte, NC, as part of the membership organization’s Heels on Fire traveling series. Members of the group, event vendors, and the local community turned this women’s networking event into a resounding success!
Charlotte, affectionately known as Queen City, was an ideal choice for the event. Our community of women here exemplify the spirit of uplifting one another. From the dedicated vendors to the passionate attendees, everyone was driven, courageous, and eager to seize opportunities.
Engaging Conversations and Valuable Insights
The panel discussion covered crucial topics such as lawsuits, retirement savings, the importance of taking breaks, finding mentors, building a supportive community, and prioritizing mental health. One notable highlight was Sara McCall’s discussion on the significance of having liability insurance, especially in the face of legal challenges.
Perfect Venue and Exceptional Service
PINE provided the perfect open and airy setting for the event. Drinks and light bites were provided by 5th Street Group, adding a delicious touch. Attendees also enjoyed a boost from Gorgie, a new energy drink packed with benefits from green tea, natural flavors, biotin, B vitamins, and L-theanine.
The atmosphere was elevated thanks to the stunning Annabell Sofas and Chairs from AFR Event Furniture, adding a touch of elegance to our gathering.

Entertainment was top-notch, courtesy of EVA, who can help secure musical talent for any event. Alpha-Lit Charlotte enhanced the evening with marquee lights spelling “Heels,” creating an ideal photo moment. Pose it Up, CLT also provided a fun photo booth for all attendees, while South Charlotte City Lifestyle will feature additional event photos in their July issue.
